Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what Nicole G. had to say about her experience:

“Mountain House Estate was our dream venue! The property is stunning and the flexibility means that couples can make the day anything they could dream of. We were drawn to MHE because Lane was so easy to work with. She was the first to respond to my inquiries and everything was just as smooth from there! John and Lane keep the property up beautifully and made the entire process so smooth! I could not recommend this venue more! We had the wedding of our dreams!”

Fresh Ideas for Your LGBTQ+ Wedding

Hold onto your bouquets and boutonnières! The wedding world is getting a fabulous makeover, and LGBTQ+ celebrations are leading the charge. Gone are the days of one-size-fits-all ceremonies. Let’s dive into some trends that are making waves in the world of LGBTQ+ weddings!

  • Gender-Inclusive Wedding Party: Move beyond traditional roles. Have a “wedding squad” or “I do crew” instead of bridesmaids or groomsmen. Mix it up with all suits, all dresses, or a beautiful blend of both.
  • Personalized Ceremony Readings: Include passages from LGBTQ+ authors or poets that resonate with your relationship. Works by Walt Whitman, Sappho, or contemporary writers like Ocean Vuong can add depth to your ceremony.
  • Inclusive Music Choices: Create a playlist featuring LGBTQ+ artists and allies. Consider gender-neutral love songs like “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston, “Love on Top” by Beyoncé, or “Simply the Best” by Tina Turner.
  • Custom Song Commission: Work with a local musician to create a unique song that tells your love story. This personal touch can become a cherished keepsake of your special day.
  • Pride-Themed Photo Booth: Set up a photo booth with pride-themed props. This allows guests to celebrate and show support while keeping your overall wedding decor flexible.
  • Unity Ceremony with a Twist: Instead of traditional candle lighting, consider planting a tree together, creating a cocktail, or assembling a piece of art that represents your union.
