Event Venue Pricing
Below you’ll find our San Francisco Bay Area venue prices. Book a venue that offers exclusive use of the grounds in the Sonoma County area. Our Use Fee is based upon your specific needs and desires. Mountain House Estate has many options allowing you to customize your event, some of which are listed below. Please complete the Inquiry Form, and we’ll contact you to discuss your ideal wedding.
Single Day Event
Our goal is to make your special day beautiful and romantic. Mountain House Estate, a private estate and unique wedding venue in wine country, was conceived, designed, and constructed with you in mind. We offer a number of ceremony and reception options on the 40 acres so that you may create a memorable experience for yourselves and your guests.
On your wedding day, you’ll have no worries about members of the public invading your space. You’ll have exclusive use of the venue, which is never open to the public for wine tasting, restroom use, or for picnics.
Your day begins with the arrival of the bridal party and vendors at 9 am to begin preparations. Guests may begin arriving at 3 pm, with the seven hour event time running until 10 pm with clean up to follow. For an additional fee, we offer early event hours, as well as late event hours (until 2 am), if you wish to continue the celebration.
Choose your ceremony location.
Barn – Would you like to have the ceremony on the large lawn with a rustic barn backdrop? Or use the patio side for your barn wedding?
Pond and Water Feature – Or use our pond with the floating fountain to create your romantic vision?
Trees – Many couples have elected to use the redwoods on the edge of the lawn, both with, and without using an arch. Or maybe use the poplars?
Oak Tree Terrace – One of our most popular locations is a terraced hillside with built in redwood benches that seat 200 guests, with room for more. Here you’ll find a redwood deck with Victorian era cast iron fencing, huge oak trees, raised bed gardens, and another rustic barn with a vintage hubcap collection.
Great Room – For those who prefer an indoor ceremony location we have our Great Room, which can accommodate 150 people in chairs, or 120 people at tables.
Garden Wedding – The grounds of the Estate are fully landscaped so that we have color throughout the year. In our raised bed vegetable garden, we rotate vegetables and flowers to always have beautiful things to view.
And more! We anticipate that our vineyard will be mature, and act as a back drop in 2018. We also get requests from couples to use other areas of the property, and we’ve approved it every time.
Choose your reception location.
Our 5,000sf lawn next to the pond has been used to seat 250 people at tables, or for simply playing lawn games.
Our patio with bistro lights will accommodate 250 people at tables, and it also has a bandstand and other features you’ll just have to come out and see.
Our Great Room has been used as a lounge, dance club, ceremony and reception location, and more.
The Estate features two preparation rooms for everyone to use. The Oasis features a three-sided mirror, four make up stations, and is the perfect place to get ready to make your entrance. The Studio is more laid back and is a great place to hang out and relax.
Couples will sometimes ask if they get the use of the entire Estate – Yes. In fact, you’ll have exclusive use, no other weddings will be occurring on the Estate during the time you’ve reserved.

Are there other fees? We do not require you purchase wine, nor do we charge for corkage. We don’t charge for cake cutting or any other fees. If you’d like the party to continue past 10pm – absolutely! However, there is a fee for each extended hour.
You may bring in your own beverages, including wine, beer, sparkling wine and hard liquor to be served to your guests by a bartender.
We offer discounts for Friday and Sunday weddings, and further discounts for weekday weddings. We do have both ‘in season’ and ‘off season’ wedding venue prices as well for our San Francisco Bay Area estate.
The Mini-Weekend includes everything in the Single Day rental, and more. The Mini-Weekend begins on Friday at noon and runs until the end of your celebration on Saturday. It includes overnight accommodations for 12 guests on Friday night. This offers you the opportunity to entertain your guests with a rehearsal dinner on Friday till 10pm, and includes an extra event hour on Saturday for an ending time of 11 pm.
Weekend Package – Best Value
Are you interested in having a multi-day event here in wine country? Then this is the package for you. It includes everything mentioned in the Single Day Site Fee, the Mini-Weekend Package, plus much more.
Some couples have guests and family coming from long distances, and instead of just a single day event, they will opt for our Weekend package. They have the rehearsal dinner at the Estate, a farewell brunch, and use the overnight rooms. The Estate serves as a base camp for the group, where they can relax and hang out, or go out together to experience the many adventures that are offered within a short drive.
The Weekend Package starts on Friday at noon and continues until Monday at noon. Overnight accommodations for 12 are included for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Your Saturday celebration time is extended to midnight, and you may host a farewell brunch on Sunday as well.
Your group can head 30 minutes south on Hwy 101 from the Estate, into Sonoma County, to downtown Healdsburg, Dry Creek Valley or Alexander Valley – all famous winery areas with lots to see and do. While on the way to Healdsburg, stop at Coppola Winery and see Francis Ford Coppola’s movie memorabilia.
Although it’s a bit further, Napa, the Napa Valley, Sonoma and Sonoma Valley, St. Helena, Calistoga, Kenwood, Glen Ellen, are all within a day trip drive of the Estate. These are wonderful areas to visit, but for a more down to earth experience, we recommend touring a bit closer to the Estate.
The Estate is located in the Yorkville Highlands AVA. Here you’ll find a number of wineries in the Highlands as you drive on Hwy 128 to the west. We recommend stopping by Yorkville Cellars, Maple Creek Winery, and Meyers Family Cellars. All are small, family run operations, and if you make an appointment ahead of time, you can get tours of the operations. Yorkville Market also offers tastings, as well as a selection of deli items.
Driving further west into Mendocino County on Hwy 128, you pass through Boonville in Anderson Valley, and right by the Mendocino Brewing Company, McGowan’s Apple Orchards, Navarro Redwoods and more. In Boonville there are a number of shops to browse, restaurants to enjoy, and for overnight, the Boonville Hotel. On this route you will also pass through the village of Philo and the Navarro Redwoods.
Continue west on Hwy 128 to the Pacific Ocean coast (1.5hr drive west from the Estate) you’ll find the town of Mendocino, featured in Murder She Wrote, and next door is Ft. Bragg, with Glass Beach and downtown shops.

The Weekend Package comes with extras. You get use of the overnight rooms that sleep a total of 12 people, VRBO style. We can recommend other B&B’s, and VRBO’s in the area for extra accommodations. Use of the venue begins on Friday morning, and continues to Sunday afternoon.
Mountain House Estate offers both traditional style elopements with less than 10 people, as well as modern elopements with up to 50 people.
Many couples choose to elope because it’s a romantic, intimate and fun experience that will make memories for a lifetime, while also being stress free. An elopement comes with an additional benefit, it’s affordable.
At Mountain House Estate, each elopement is unique because you can custom design it, either keeping it to a ceremony only, or adding in more hours for a reception to enhance the moment with a celebratory toast, dinner and even dancing.
Most elopements at the Estate occur in our smaller, more intimate locations on the grounds. We can offer a garden wedding, barn wedding, fountain, pond, and additional beautiful settings. Our private country location gives the flexibility to provide the classic, country, or elegant wedding of your dreams.
After the wedding, we suggest heading to the romantic Pacific Ocean coast from here for the honeymoon, to relax and listen to the waves. Or to wine country (Healdsburg, Napa, Sonoma) to partake of all the wine country has to offer.
Typically, elopements occur on Mondays through Thursdays, but can also be held on weekends, subject to availability.
A traditional elopement, with up to 10 guests, begins at $2,000 for two hours.

The Estate can accommodate from 50 to 250 guests, on any day of the week. Because of all these options, each request is priced individually, but we do have a Special Offer package available as well.
An All-Inclusive Wine Country Wedding can be a great, budget friendly choice. We will pare you with one of our preferred professional wedding planners and they can custom design your event here at Mountain House Estate, and even additional wine country excursions.
To get started, the Planner will need to know your budget and guest count. From there, they will discuss the details and work with you on creating your vision. Area’s they will discuss with you include:
- Day of the week, number of hours desired and season,
- Catering choices including tables, chairs, linens, napkins, flatware, glassware, center pieces,
- The ceremony location you desire to use,
- Wedding photography,
- Wedding DJ and MC services,
- Make-up and Hair choices
- Florals including bridal bouquet, grooms boutonniere, and table center pieces,
- Cake or desert,
- Champagne, wine, beer and bartender services, and glassware
Each choice does have an expense involved, but with professional guidance by the Wedding Planner, you can make the choices to stay within your budget.
