Napa Valley and the Yorkville Highlands
Just as importantly, we know that your family and friends want to take time to explore the magnificent Napa and Yorkville Highlands American Viticultural Area. Those of us who live in Yorkville are known as “highlanders” because we live high above the Anderson and Alexander Valleys.
Being members of the Yorkville Highlands Growers and Vintners Association, we know many of the small winery owners in the area and can work with you to create unique backroom winery tours for your wedding guests.
California Wine Country
Beyond wine, our fellow members of the Yorkville Highlands Growers and Vintners Association also produce incredible olives and olive oil. Local businesses such as Yorkville Market offer a great location for an afternoon break and a snack including local, organic and sustainable foods, and to enjoy local beers, wines and crafts.

Francis Ford Coppola Winery
About twenty-five minutes from Mountain House Estate, just south of Geyserville is the Francis Ford Coppola Winery, this notable location has Coppola’s movie memorabilia, tours, tastings, and a restaurant.
Charles Krug Winery
Charles Krug is home to California’s very first tasting room, located in St. Helena, California. It’s a unique place to visit if you are a wine aficionado!
Nearby Healdsburg, California has a more small-town county feel than the Napa and Sonoma wine regions, and there are plenty of spectacular wineries to visit and other wonderful options for your wedding weekend.
Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery
Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery boast tons of beautiful flowers and magnificent views. Located along Dry Creek Road, on the way there you pass dozens of small wineries.

Carneros Resort and Spa
A resort and spa is a unique place to get married because it provides a beautiful backdrop for your special day. A resort wedding can be held in the grand ballroom, on the beach, or overlooking a lake. Each setting has its own personality and ambiance that will make your wedding day unique and memorable.
The resort’s staff can help you plan the perfect event, from setting up the ceremony to arranging a post-reception dinner in one of their many restaurants. You can also choose from their selection of on-site catering companies for your reception dinner or you may want to bring in your own caterer.
If you are planning a destination wedding at a resort, you may want to consider planning your wedding during the off-season. This will give you the opportunity to take advantage of discounted rates and offers on food, beverages, and other services.
Carriage House
Part of a historic 1916 Keeling estate, The Carriage House offers the privacy and distinct ambiance of a luxury hotel. Developed by Ernest Louis, the old 1917 structure offers all the amenities one could expect from a boutique-like retreat two hours away from San Francisco Bay Area or Sacramento.
Solage Calistoga

Vineyard Terrace at the Meritage Resort & Spa
The Vineyard Terrace is located near the Meritage Ballroom. It’s perfect for a laid-back outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour and can fit around than 350 guests. This beautiful space includes privacy screens and heaters that can be used throughout the year.
The Culinary Institute of America
The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, established over 25 years ago, allowed us to envision a wedding in the land’s classic wine country. The historic building still has glorious views of the valley, making it an ideal site for your event.
Sonoma Valley Garden Reception Weddings
There are lots of wedding venues that offer garden and vineyard views. Mountain House Estate has lots of gardens, both beautiful and producing fruits, and veggies!
Winery Venues
You may elect to get married at a winery. We will warn you though, you will likely have to drink only their wine and pay a corkage fee otherwise.
Wineries are allowed to serve only their own wine and charge a corkage fee of $25 or more often times.
“Corkage Fees,” an often overlooked wedding expense, are the fees that wineries charge to open and serve their wine. Many wineries charge $25 or more per bottle, so it is important to budget for this expense if you are considering a winery wedding.
